Description

Partl et al used the Karnofsky Performance Status (KPS) and serum LDH concentration to predict survival of patients with advanced malignant melanoma. These findings can help to identify patients who may benefit from whole-brain radiation or other interventions. The authors are from the Medical University of Graz in Austria.
