Description

Wolfe et al developed the Health Assessment Questionnaire II (HAQ II) as a shorter version of the Health Assessment Questionnaire (HAQ) for evaluating functional ability in patients with rheumatoid arthritis. This is simple to administer and score. The authors are from the University of Kansas in Wichita.


 

Abilities:

(1) stand up from a straight chair

(2) walk outdoors on flat ground

(3) get on and off the toilet

(4) reach a get down a 5 pound (2.3 kg) object from just overhead

(5) open car doors

(6) able to do yard work

(7) walk in a line for 15 minutes

(8) lift heavy objects

(9) move heavy objects

(10) go up 2 or more flights of stairs
