Patnaik et al reported a simple score for evaluating patients with chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (CMML). The authors are from the Mayo Clinic.

(1) absolute monocyte count in 10^9/L

(2) circulating immature myeloid cells

(3) hemoglobin in g/dL

(4) platelet count in 10^9/L
