Voriconazole is a triazole antifungal agent whose serum level is affected by the patient's genotype for CYP2C19.
CYP2C19 genotypes:
(1) homozygous extensive metabolizer
(2) heterozygous metabolizer (extensive and poor)
(3) homozygous poor metabolizer

In the United States the homozygous poor metabolizer is uncommon, while this is relatively common in Asia.
