Description

Klippel-Trenaunay Syndrome (KTS) may be associated with venogenic erectile dysfunction (ED).


 

Clinical features of KTS (see 20.31.06):

(1)cutaneous port-wine capillary malformations

(2) varicose veins and/or venous malformations

(3) soft tissue and bone hypertrophy involving one or more extremities

 

Patients with venogenic ED have:

(1) cutaneous vascular malformations of the lower abdomen, pelvis and/or external genitalia.

(2) abnormal venous channels present on cavernosography.

(3) a positive response (erectile function) to venous ligation surgery

 

Other causes of erectile dysfunction must be excluded.
