Burkhardt et al developed a fibromyalgia impact questionnaire (FIQ) based on 7 visual analogue scles (VAS). This can be used to evaluate a patient with fibromyalgia and to monitor the response to therapy.

• Boomershine et al correlated a score from 31.4 to 44.9 with moderate fibromyalgia and a score >= 45 as severe.
