Vaginal laceration can occur if water impacts the perineum at high speed.
Sources of trauma:
(1) water slide or chute
(2) high-pressure water jet in a fountain or water park
Most of the reports seem to be in premenarcheal girls.
Clinical findings:
(1) pain
(2) vaginal bleeding, which can be severe
(3) vaginal laceration
