Uterine (endometrial) curettes come in many different styles, one of which is the loop curette.
Common types:
(1) Sims: with a sharp edge
(2) Thomas: with a dull edge
The outer diameter of the loop is measured at the widest point perpendicular to the long axis of the curette.
