Description

The simplified revised Geneva score (SRG, see previous section) can be used in conjunction with the D-dimer test to evaluate a patient for pulmonary embolus (PE).


 

D-dimer test (VIDAS D-dimer exclusion test, bioMerieux): A value < 500 ng/mL excludes a pulmonary embolus.
