A patient with Hodgkin's disease may develop a glomerulopathy.

Types of glomerulopathy that can be seen with Hodgkin's disease:

(1) minimal change disease (MCD)

(2) immune complex deposition

(3) amyloidosis

Clinical features of minimal change disease in Hodgkin's disease:

(1) proteinuria, often presenting with the nephrotic syndrome

(2) remission of proteinuria following successful therapy of the Hodgkin's disease

(3) return or worsening of the proteinuria with disease recurrence or progression

The diagnosis requires exclusion of other causes of glomerular disease such as diabetes.
