Some sexual offenders are female and these may be classified into several types.
By herself based on a role:
(1) nurturer or caregiver
(2) teacher or other authority role: often believes that there is a consensual relationship
By herself not necessarily based on a role:
(1) traditional pedophile looking for sexual gratification (similar to male pedophile)
(2) psychosis or other psychiatric disturbance
(3) experimentation or curiosity
Together with a male:
(1) willing without coercion
(2) coerced: often in an abusive relationship and may involve own children
