Description

ProADM (pro-adrenomedullin) is an inflammatory marker that has been associated with a number of negative outcomes. Kutz et al used it together with clinical status to triage medical patients in the Emergency Department. The authors are from multiple institutions in Europe and are members of the Triage Study Group.

Patient selection: medical patient in the Emergency Department.

Outcome: 30-day mortality

Parameters:

(1) triage priority (blue, green, yellow, orange, red)

(2) serum ProADM concentration in nmol/L
