Shirasihi et al reported the Trauma Rating Index in Age, Glasgow Coma Scale, Respiratory rate and Systolic blood pressure (TRIAGES) score for patients with trauma. This can help to identify a patient who may benefit from more aggressive management. The authors are from Kameda Medical Center, Tokyo Medical and Dental University, London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, and the University of Tokyo.
Patient selection: trauma, >= 16 years
Parameters:
(1) age in years

Interpretation:
• minimum score: 0
• maximum score: 14
• The higher the score the more serious the trauma.
Performance:
• The area under the ROC curve is 0.93.
