Is the sputum purulent?

Does the patient have hemoptysis?

Does the patient have pleuritic chest pain?

Does the patient have loose stools or diarrhea not due to drugs?

Does the patient have abdominal pain?

Does the patient have relative bradycardia?

Is the patient receiving beta blockers?

Does the patient have cardiac arrhythmias or a pacemaker?

Has the patient failed to respond to beta-lactam antibiotic therapy by 72 hours?

Does the patient have acute renal failure not due to toxins or other known cause?

Is the serum sodium decreased?

Is the serum phosphate decreased without a known cause?

Are the serum transaminases (ALT/SGPT, AST/SGOT) elevated in the absence of pre-existing liver disease?

Is the serum total bilirubin increased?

Is cold agglutinin titer >= 1:64?

Is the serum creatinine elevated?

Is microscopic hematuria present without another explanation?
