Description

The SCL-90 is a self-reporting, clinical symptom rating scale consisting of 90 questions. It is designed for use with psychiatric outpatients. Responses indicate symptoms associated with 9 psychiatric constructs.


Constructs represented:

(1) somatization (perceptions of bodily dysfunction)

(2) obsessive-compulsive

(3) interpersonal sensitivity (feelings of personal inadequacy or inferiority)

(4) depression

(5) anxiety

(6) hostility

(7) phobic anxiety

(8) paranoid ideation

(9) psychoticism

 

The instrument consists of 90 statements
