Description

The Roux Stasis Syndrome describes a group of clinical findings that occur in some patients who have undergone a roux-en-Y gastrojejunostomy procedure.


 

Clinical features:

(1) history of roux-en-Y gastrojejunostomy (usually several months before)

(2) chronic abdominal pain

(3) nausea and vomiting

(4) complaints made worst by eating or drinking
