Althof , Corty et al developed the Erectile Dysfunction Inventory of Treatment Satisfaction (EDITS) for men undergoing therapy for erectile dysfunction (ED). Separate questionnaires are available for both the patient and the patient's partner. The authors are from multiple universities in the United States and the research was support by Pfizer, Inc.
Number of items in questionnaire: 5, with responses on a 5-point Likert scale (range from 5 good to 1 bad).
Scoring is not discussed in the paper. Copies of the questionnaire are available from Dr Althof.
In the implementation I will convert the total sum of the Likert scale responses to cover the range of 0 to 100:
adjusted total score =
= ((total sum of Likert responses) - 5) * 5
Interpretation:
• minimum adjusted total score: 0
• maximum adjusted total score: 100
• The higher the score the greater the partner's satisfaction with the treatment.
