Description

The Framingham Safety Surveys were developed to help health care professionals evaluate the risk of injury to a child in her or his environment. The responses can help identify problem areas for change or improvement. There are different surveys for different age ranges (< 1 year, 1-5 years, 6-9, and 10-12 years) reflecting the changes in risk as the child develops. The surveys were developed in Framingham, Massachusetts.


 

NOTE: There are 2 surveys for children 1 to 5 years of age.

 

Number of questions: 21

 

These identify behaviors of the parents or items about the house that may pose a risk to children.

 

Each question has 2 to 3 responses.
