Description

Systemic Sclerosis may overlap with other autoimmune disorders.

Clinical features:

(1) The patient meets the ACR/EULAR criteria for scleroderma.

(2) The patient shows clinical features of another connective tissue disease.

Other connective tissue disease that may overlap with scleroderma:

(1) SLE

(2) rheumatoid arthritis

(3) Sjogren's syndrome

(4) polymyositis

(5) mixed connective tissue disease (MCTD)

The overlapping syndrome may not independently fulfill diagnostic criteria for that condition but should show some unique clinical or laboratory feature not seen with scleroderma.
