Systemic effects of cobalt intoxication:
(1) flushing
(2) nausea and vomiting
(3) chest pain
(4) cardiomyopathy with congestive heart failure
(5) thyroiditis with hypothyroidism
(6) optic atrophy with visual impairment
(7) nerve deafness and/or tinnitus
(8) limb paresthesias
(9) polycythemia due to a stimulation of erythropoiesis
(10) renal failure
(11) diffuse alopecia
