Some people believe that they have superhuman capabilities and can live without limitations.


A superperson believes that s/he excels in all aspects of life, including:

(1) work

(2) home

(3) hobbies

(4) relationships

The person believes that s/he can do it all, and does it all well.

 

Occasionally a person can achieve these goals throughout her/his life. More often it is a delusion despite short-term success.

 

Underlying problems may include:

(1) grandiosity

(2) perfectionism

(3) workaholism

(4) narcissism

 

Hazards:

(1) masked depression

(2) self-medication when failures become apparent

(3) burnout

(4) alienation in relationships
