The Standardization of Uveitis Nomenclature (SUN) Working Group reported criteria for the diagnosis of Fuchs Uveitis Syndrome.
Synonym: Fuchs heterochromatic iridocyclitis
Criteria for Fuchs Uveitis Syndrome - all of the following:
(1) anterior uveitis without evidence of active retinitis
(2) unilateral uveitis
(3) one or both of the following:
(3a) heterochromia
(3b) unilateral diffuse iris atrophy AND stellate keratotic precipitates
(4) absence of endothelitis
(5) absence of nodular, coin-shaped endothelial lesions
(6) exclusion of syphilis, sarcoidosis, CMV, HSV or VZ
