Description

A patient with severe anorexia nervosa may experience easy fatiguability and weakness due to impaired muscular strength.


Common tests:

(1) stand up

(2) sit up

(3) squat test

 

The stand-up test has the person lying flat on the ground, then trying to stand up.

 

The sit-up test involves the person lying flat on the floor and then trying to sit up.

 

The squat test involves the person standing up, then squatting down and attempting to stand up again.
