= 24.5 + (0.9 * X) + (((X - 2.9) ^ 2) * (2.65 + (0.31 * (hemoglobin in g/dL))) / 1000)
• X = (in vitro base excess) - (0.2 * (hemoglobin in g/dL) * (100 - (oxygen saturation)) / 100)
