When an improvised explosive device (IED) detected there needs to be stand-off zones to protect people from the detonation.

Parameters:

(1) amount of explosive in kilograms, based on capacity of delivery method

These values are approximate and need to be adjusted for:

(1) strength of the explosive

(2) shrapnel in the bomb

(3) glass and other projectiles in the environment

(4) body protective armor and other protections (armored vehicle, etc)
