Transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) can be used to treat some patients with hepatocellular carcinoma. Wang et al reported the "six and twelve" score (based on the cutoffs below) for evaluating these patients. The authors are from multiple institutions in China.
The score shares features with the "up-to-seven" score of Mazzaferro et al.
