The Simplified Psoriasis Index (SPI) is intended to be a clinically useful method of assessing psoriasis. There are several assessments including one for psychological impact and one for historical course and interventions. The authors are from the University of Manchester and Mahidol University in Bangkok.
Patient selection: psoriasis
Measures:
(1) psychosocial impact (SPI-p)
(2) historical course and interventions (SPI-i)
Psychosocial impact is measured on a 10 cm VAS scale, reported to the nearest integer.
