Spina et al reported a simplified Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment (sCGA) for evaluating the functional status of an older adult with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). The authors are from multiple institutions in Italy and participants of the Fondazione Italiana Linfomi.
Patient selection: age >= 65 years of age with untreated de novo DLBCL
Parameters:
(1) activities of daily living (ADL): presumably 6 activities
(2) instrumental activities of daily living (IADL): 8 instrumental activities
(3) comorbidity index rating scale for geriatrics (CIRS-G): 14 body systems scored from 0 (no problem) to 4 (extreme problem)
(4) age in years
