Description

A patient with moyamoya disease may present with a number of clinical findings.


 

The patient may present with findings suggestive for:

(1) cerebral ischemia

(2) transient ischemic attack (TIA)

(3) intracranial hemorrhage

 

Signs and symptoms associated with moyamoyda disease may include:

(1) headache

(2) altered level of consciousness

(3) seizures

(4) involuntary movements

(5) a psychiatric disorder

(6) vertigo or dizziness

(7) dysphagia

(8) apraxia

 

The patient may have:

(1) motor disturbances

(2) sensory disturbances

(3) speech disturbances

(4) visual disturbances

(5) mental/cognitive disturbances
