The second-line Age-Adjusted International Prognostic Index (sAAIPI) is determined in patients with relapsed or primary refractory non-Hodgkin's lymphoma prior to second-line therapy. This is based on the age-adjusted IPI which is determined at the time of initial diagnosis.
Patient selection: relapsed or primary refractory non-Hodgkin's lymphoma
Parameters:
(1) serum LDH
(2) clinical stage
(3) Karnofsky Performance Status (KPS)

Interpretation:
• minimum score: 0
• maximum score: 3
• The higher the score the worse the outcome and the response to second-line therapy.
