Description

Scrotal calcinosis is a rare, benign condition that affects the scrotal skin.


 

Clinical findings:

(1) single or multiple, firm papules and/or nodules in the scrotal wall

(2) painless

(3) if a lesion ruptures it discharges a chalky yellow or white material

(4) biopsy shows amorphous calcifications

 

Exclusion:

(1) calcified epidermal inclusion or sebaceous cysts

(2) hyperparathyroidism with dystrophic calcification

(3) xanthomas

(4) Onchocerca volvulus
