Maguen et al reported the Screen for Disordered Eating (SDE) to identify a patient who may be a disorder related eating, such as anorexia or bulimia. The authors are from the San Francisco VA Medical Center, University of California San Francisco, Yale University and VA Connecticut Healthcare System.

(4) often preoccupied with a desire to be thinner
(5) believe self to be fat despite being seen as thin by others
