Yukawa et al reported a score for identifying a patient with rheumatoid arthritis who is at increased risk for pneumocystis pneumonia. A patient at high risk may be a candidate for prophylactic antibiotic therapy. The authors are from Tsuchiya General Hospital in Hiroshima.
