Patient selection: adult diagnosed with endemic zoonosis in South Korea

(1) neurological symptoms (GCS < 15, tremor, motor weakness, dysarthria)
(2) diarrhea
(3) leukopenia (WBC count < 4,000 per µL)
(4) serum CRP

• maximum score: 4
• A score >= 2 has a sensitivity of 0.83 and specificity of 0.96 for severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome.
