Description

Alshahrani et al reported a simple score for identifying a patient with obstructive coronary artery disease and a normal Agatston score. The authors are from multiple institutions in Canada, the United States and Europe.

Patient selection: Agatston score 0 and history of coronary artery disease

Outcome: obstructive coronary artery disease (CAD) was defined as luminal occlusion >= 50%.

Parameters:

(1) age of the patient in years

(2) sex

(3) typical chest pain

(4) dyslipidemia

(5) hypertension

(6) family history of coronary artery disease

(7) diabetes mellitus
