Description

Scleroderma acrosclerosis is a form of localized scleroderma which has now been classified with limited cutaneous scleroderma.


Features of acrosclerosis - both of the following:

(1) cutaneous scleroderma (C) of the distal extremities (distal to elbow and knees)

(2) Raynaud's disease (R)

 

Some of these patient's may be further classified as the CREST syndrome if they also have cutaneous calcinosis (C), esophageal involvement (E) and telangiectasia (T).
