Scalp dysthesia is an uncommon cutaneous dysthesia syndrome affecting the scalp.
Signs and symptoms:
(1) chronic complaints without skin changes
(2) burning, stinging and/or pruritus
(3) The symptoms may be exacerbated by physical or psychological stress.
The syndrome may be ascribed to:
(1) an underlying psychiatric disorder
(2) herniated disc in the cervical spine
