(1) gastro-oesophageal varices (GOV)
(2) isolated gastric varices (IGV)

esophageal varices continuing along the lesser curvature
GOV2
esophageal varices continuing to the cardiofundal region
IGV1
isolated varices in the cardiofundal region not in continuity with esosphageal varices
IGV2
ectopic sites within the stomach not involving the cardiofungal region or first part of the duodenum
