Description

The SAPS 3 prognostic model consists of 3 boxes scoring various findings on ICU admission. Box III reflects physiologic measures taken on admission. The authors are the SAPS 3 Investigators from across Europe.

Parameters:

(1) lowest Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS)

(2) total serum bilirubin in mg/dL or µmol/L

(3) highest body temperature in °C

(4) serum creatinine in mg/dL or µmol/L

(5) highest heart rate in beats per minute

(6) highest white blood cell count per µL or per L

(7) lowest arterial pH

(8) lowest platelet count per µL or per L

(9) lowest systolic blood pressure in mm Hg

(10) oxygenation and respiratory support
