Olavarria et al reported a simple score for screening a patient with intracerebral hemorrhage for a cerebral vascular abnormality. This can help to identify a patient who may benefit from angiography to detect a vascular abnormality. The authors are from Universidad del Desarrollo and Universidad de Chile in Santiago, Chile.
Patient selection: intracerebral hemorrhage
Parameters:
(1) age in years
(2) hypertension
(3) site of intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH)
(4) intraventricular hemorrhage (IVH)
(5) oral anticoagulant use
