Description

A simple scoring system based on clinical variables available on admission can be used to stratify patients by risk shortly after presentation.


 

Patient selection:

(1) Patients with their first acute inferior myocardial infarction.

(2) Patients in cardiogenic shock (Killip class 4) excluded.

 

Risk Factors:

(1) age in years

(2) history of previous angina

(3) Killip class on admission

(4) glucose on admission
