Description

Shi et al reported a linear risk score for a patient with myelodysplasia. This includes genetic information and the red cell distribution width (RDW). The authors are from Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences & Peking Union Medical College, Cincinnati Children's Hospital and Imperial College London.

Patient selection: myelodysplasia

Parameters:

(1) age in years

(2) RDW in percent

(3) ASXL1 mutations

(4) PTPN11 mutations

(5) IPSS-revised karyotype, cytogenetic risk (very good, good, poor, very poot)
