Description

Cucchiara et al reported the score for predicting the risk of intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) following intravenous tissue plasminogen activator (t-PA) in a patient with ischemic stroke. The authors are from the University of Pennsylvania, Chaim Sheba Medical Center, Mount Sinai Medical Center and the University of Calgary. The authors participated in the Multicenter Recombinant Tissue Plasminogen Stroke Survey Group.

Patient selection: ischemic stroke in the distribution of the middle cerebral artery (MCA) after intravenous t-PA therapy

Outcome: intracerebral hemorrhage. I

Parameters:

(1) age of the patient in years

(2) pretreatment NIHSS score

(3) blood glucose on admission
