Description

Guglielmi et al reported a simple risk model for patients with diffuse large cell lymphoma (DLCL) at first relapse. This can help to identify a patient who may benefit from more aggressive management. The authors are from the Italian Intergroup for Lymphoma.

Patient selection: diffuse large lymphoma after initial therapy, both B and T cell

Outcome: risk at first relapse

Parameters:

(1) interval in months between end of first therapy and relapse

(2) serum LDH relative to upper limit of normal (ULN)

(3) Ann Arbor stage at relapse, from I to IV

(4) WHO (ECOG) performance status
