Description

Ge et al reported a risk index for evaluating a woman with abnormal vaginal bleeding or discharge. This can help to identify a patient who may have endometrial cancer. The authors are from Nanjing Medical University.

Patient selection: woman with abnormal vaginal bleeding or discharge

Parameters:

(1) plasma fibrinogen in g/L

(2) plasma D-dimer in mg/L

(3) serum HE4 in pmol/L

(4) serum CA19-9 in U/mL

risk index of endometrial cancer = RIEC =

= (3.385 * LN(fibrinogen)) + (1.462 * LN(D-dimer)) + (3.243 * LN(HE4)) + (0.456 * LN(CA19-9)) - 15.547

probability of endometrial cancer =

= 1 / (1 + EXP((-1) * (RIEC)))

Performance:

The area under the ROC curve is 0.884.
