Zhu et al reported risk factors for intra-abdominal infection in a patient with Crohn's disease who has undergone bowel resection with re-anastomosis. These can help to identify a patient who may require more aggressive management. The authors are from the Medical School of Nanjing University in China)

(2) perioperative corticosteroids (OR 1.8)
(3) therapy with infliximab (OR 3.4)
(4) hypoalbuminemia with serum albumin < 30 g/L (OR 2.4)
