Description

Kato et al identified findings on DEXA (dual X-ray absorptiometry) scanning associated with increased mortality in patients with renal disease undergoing regular hemodialysis. This can help identify patients who require closer monitoring and more aggressive management. The authors are from Hamamatsu University, University of Shizuoka and teaching hospitals in Japan.
