Patient selection: neonate with facial port wine stains
Parameters:
(1) extent of involvement of the port wine stain in the 3 embryonic vascular segments (S1, S2, S3)
(2) involvement of the upper and/or lower eyelids

Risk factors for development of glaucoma:
(1) greater involvement of the S2 vascular segment (OR 3.6)
(2) involvement of the upper eyelid (OR 1.4)
