Description

A rodeo athlete is exposed to frequent and repetitive trauma.


Risk factors for injury:

(1) failure to wear protective equipment (helmet, protective vest, mouthpiece, cervical collar, etc)

(2) lack of adequate medical care

(3) participation in rough stock events, especially bull riding

(4) history of previous injury, and participating while injured

(5) equipment failure

(6) lack of experience
