Hepatic angiosarcomas are uncommon tumors that tend to arise in people exposed to one or more chemicals.
Chemicals implicated in patients with hepatic angiosarcoma:
(1) vinyl chloride (used to produce polyvinyl chloride)
(2) Thorotrast (colloidal thorium dioxide)
(3) inorganic arsenic (typically as a pesticide)
(4) anabolic steroids
